Angry Birds Space

Here we go! A new app from Rovio, the Angry Birds Space! And from the looks of the previews, it looks that they have put in a lot of new gameplay features and improved graphics. When is it available? Today! Mind you, its not an update or an add-on to all other previous Angry Birds apps, it is a whole new app by itself. Yes it means purchasing a new app and forking out some extra dough, but hey, if you are a big fan, I'm sure $0.99 or $1.99 would be worth it. Its NEW!

All-Stars Racing iOS Update to add A New Racer and New Track!

Well this is a surprise! According to Maclife, an update is coming to the iOS version of Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing that will add Knuckles and a new track. The update will also allow the game to support AirPlay, allowing players to stream the game from their iPad or iPod to an HDTV. Of course, by that point you might as well be playing the HD version of the game. More news on the new track as it comes!

The NEOGEO X Handheld is Real!?

While this is not SEGA related, SEGA did develop games for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. This new handheld, slated for a Q2 2012 release, sounds more like a NEOGEO AES emulator. No word yet if it will also emulate other Neo Geo consoles. I'd love to see NGP and NGPC support, even if it means hacking the device.

The "NEOGEO X" will be released in Q2 2012 following the 20th anniversary of the ground breaking NEOGEO AES console. This Limited Edition handheld console will feature 20 officially licensed NEOGEO games including retro classics such METALSLUG, THE KING OF FIGHTERS and FATAL FURY. 

Along with these 20 built in NEOGEO classic titles, the NEOGEO X will also feature, SD card expansion, a 3.5" LCD screen, A/V output, internal stereo speakers and a headphone socket.

The Limited Edition NEOGEO X will be distributed by Tommo Inc in the United States and retro gaming specialists BLAZE throughout Europe, Middle East and Australia. A distributor for Japan and the Far East will be confirmed shortly.
